Re: 32 and up hinges

I agree with earlyride. Also, as soon as you are done heating start to remove the pin before the heat transfers to the pin. If you take too long & the pin gets hot & expands just stop & let...

Re: Harbor Freight tape measures come up short

I agree that the HF tapes are of poor quality. However, with any tape measure occasionally check the hook end. It can get bent & will throw off your results when taking an inside or outside...

Re: Why would you waste your money on that Model A

You may laugh at my Doodlebug (Model A with Model TT truck rear axle) but I love it & have no neighbors to comment on it.

Aftermarket head?

The head on my Model A Doodlebug has 'Model A' cast on the top. Is this a Ford factory thing or is the head aftermarket? Thanks for any help.

Re: 28 tranny with multi-disc clutch

Can it be said that the early 28 transmission with the multi-disc clutch be left as a unique unit with its bell housing & flywheel as Henry built it. No point in trying to...

Re: 28 tranny with multi-disc clutch

The clutch is on a spare (barn find) transmission & is rusted up real bad with worn teeth. Have no plans to use the trans but just to keep as trading material.

Smile 28 tranny with multi-disc clutch

Can an early 28 transmission with multi-disc clutch be converted to be used with the more common clutch disk & pressure plate? Would it involve a lot of modifications? Thanks for any help.

Re: Model T one ton truck overdrive

Thanks to everyone for your info & stories. I am pretty sure the rear axle is TT truck. The rear leaf spring is 3 inches wide and looks quite heavy duty. The rear hubs have the wood spokes cut off...

Re: Model T one ton truck overdrive

M2M,
My uncle has gifted me a 1930? Doodlebug. The front half is Model A while the back half is TT truck. I felt that this overdrive unit had to be something unique. The overdrive unit works...

Model T one ton truck overdrive

Does anyone know about an overdrive unit made by the Tractor Train Co. of Indiana? The unit is located between the transmission and the differential. Any information would be appreciated.
