Re: 57 2 door ranch wagon

Re: a 53 motor in a 41 truck

I've installed several 8ba's in 1939 and 1940 trucks. I'm currently running one in my '39 p/u. Simple install with either the stamped steel Merc 1/2 bell or the cast iron truck 1/2 bell. One thing to...

Re: starter bendix

On some applications the new style Bendix is a real PITA to install. Sometimes it takes a bit of grinding. I installed one on an 8ba I had in a '40 big truck without grinding but it took a lot of...

Re: Buying a car out of Canada

You might try to get in touch with gimpyshotrods over on the HAMB. He is in San Francisco which isn't all that close to Pacific Grove but he is a licensed and bonded title guy and from what I've read...

Re: Source for the green speedo plastic?

I believe that HRP posted in the past about using the tops from zip lock containers but he might have been referring to red or blue, not green.

Re: Looking for a better rear end

I have one of the narrower Ranger rear ends that I'm considering for my '54 Ranch Wagon. The WMS to WMS dimensions are just a tab bit less than the original rear end which should make removing the...

Re: Pcv valve kit

I'm running a PCV system on the 8ba in my '39 p/u. IMO you don't need to buy a kit. I removed the road draft tube and used a Dorman grommet and a PCV valve out of a 231 CI Buick IIRC. I was told you...

Re: moisture again

Many years ago when I worked as a mechanic for a local dairy we used a product called Master Mechanic sold by Selig Chemical. It smelled like bananas IIRC and it was the best water displacement spray...

Re: window glass for 37 Ford Woodie

It would help if you posted your location. There may be a glass shop that is local to you but without knowing where you are located you may be missing out on a recommendation of a quality shop that...

Re: Power Steering for AA Truck

A power steering box from a Toyota 4x4 p/u (I believe mid '80's) is a push pull box but it might be a little wimpy for a big truck like an AA.

Re: Specific questions re using a boring bar (Old school)

I don't know diddly about old school boring bars but if I needed to know anything about them I'd PM Roseville carl here on the barn. If he can't help you I'm guessing he will know someone who can.

Re: Parts For Sale Again

I've had very good luck selling (and buying) on both the Barn and the HAMB. Are you trying to sell in one large lot or individually? Will you ship? How do you want payment? These are all factors...
