In my '33 I mounted a new tank and am using the sending unit as seen in Post #7 above but with a 1949 Ford fuel gauge to utilize the 2" dash opening. It fits without looking too far off from that era.

I would think the most obvious visual evidence is if the emergency brake handle is on the left cowl, all the other visual "Early" 28 features could be leftovers or replacement parts on a later...

….attach two tow straps — one to each side of the front axle —and then the straps to the winch cable...… and ……. loop four straps from each end of both axles and...

Good Luck!!!! Not sure about the utility trailer, but I have transported mine on a flatbed tow-truck several times (also '28 phaeton) as long as she's rolling on your new tires, grab the front axel...

I agree, use the brass float and it has a tab to bend over the angled rod. Mine has been trouble free for 11 years.

The Schumacher BEO1250 says its for marine or deep cycle, so is this overkill for Group 1 car batteries ?????

David G ….. yes I have noticed the tread pattern of the Firestones and that's one the reasons I do not drive when the roads are wet, no matter what!!

Hope these help, let me know if need more or dimensions. I will help as best I can. These are all Firestone standard 17" rims and 5.25/5.50-17...

I love your truck!!!! …. but the front grill shell looks to be a '32 since it appears to be straight upright. The 33-34 grills had a slight slant or angle to them. I will post pictures of mine here...

I think the paper type would plug up too quick, the original steel screening works best, never had any issues from mine.
