Re: Steering wheel help

I have $1200 in my wheel including recasting, repairing and Chroming the horn ring. Most horn rings do not come with the horn blowing mechanism and one has to be careful when buying one. Also, the...

Re: Steering wheel help

It’s a 53-54 Ford Accessory Steering Wheel. Looks like the center hub has been modified for earlier Ford steering shaft, like your 35, with a keyway. Not worth much in current condition especially...

Re: 34 door window glass

Patience and someone helping will work. Just replaced the regulator in my 33 and was a huge hassle until my wife came and held the glass while I positioned the regulator. Glass assembly will come...

Re: automatic trans and the 8cm engine

You can use an AOD with a Speedway Adaptor Kit which includes all that you will need in addition to that transmission. I bought a used adaptor kit on EBay. An AOD is a reasonably easy install with...

Re: 52 Flathead Radiator

US Radiators are a great build, cool well, good service and good quality. Looks OEM and you can choose your personal options. Highly recommended. I am very pleased as it keeps my A/C equipped...

Re: radial tires

I love these guys. Great service and quality tires. I had my whites over one year and while doing the rear brakes last month, a bubble was discovered on the inside of one tire. I sent a photo and...

Re: Car collection - Need some help

Worse than a TV program. Not only in the beginning but long commercial breaks during the video!

Re: Car collection - Need some help

The collection of cars is fantastic. The commercial nature of the Cruising New England video stinks and I will not watch their vids again.

Re: AOD to flathead

3:55 is debatable as a good ratio for and AOD without a kit. Check ratio before running. Putting in a kit afterwards is so messy, I know!

Re: AOD to flathead

Suggest you adjust the throttle pressure as best you can before driving or pay someone to come out and adjust. The company that rebuilt my AOD did that at no charge. However, I would have paid. Also...

Re: AOD to flathead

I put an AOD in my ‘53 8ba (Speedway Adapter) and used stars on Flex to Crank bolts. Used an Econoline 6 cyl flex plate and re-centered the holes. Used a modified late starter and ground the block. ...

Re: Removing Engine from '40 Ford Question

Re: Removing Engine from '40 Ford Question

I would and I did in my ‘53. Certainly not sorry. I did the “Ardun/Stick” thing and my wife didn’t like driving the car. After putting in an AOD, EPS and Air, she likes it. Guess I am a really...
