Re: 1934 Ford auction results

Yep. Our '32's are fun and also "cozy". Our formula for entry is Foot, Butt, other foot and try not to damage the kick panel. Hard to do when a size 12 shoe comes into play. Once in with your...

Re: Thread - I screwed up

I don't know....possibly a different hobby like knitting, where there are far fewer difficult technical decisions to worry about.[/QUOTE]

Frankly I find this quite rude. Opinions are fine but...

Re: Wildfire evacuation

Thanks to all for your concern. It is incredibly smoky and dark. There was a fire less than 10 miles from us several days ago. Thankfully it was extinguished before it spread out of control....

Re: Rust Oleum spray cans

Kube, Agreed. I simply want the stuff to work as advertised. All these posts about soak it, store it this way and the like are good advice, however it used to be one could grab a can, do the job and...

Re: Rust Oleum spray cans

Clogs every time. Have wasted quite a few cans. Sometimes they clog in mid use. I'd like to believe one shouldn't have to purchase solvents to soak the cap in. It's the only brand of spray paint that...

Re: Car lift

Thanks for your input. In my working career I've had some good financial times and some bad ones, most recently starting with the 2008 meltdown. I just retired and have recovered from that and YES, I...

Re: Car lift

Both 2 and 4 posts lifts have their advantages and disadvantages. 2 posts need to be securely bolted to the floor on an appropriate footing. Youtube is full of videos where the vehicle topples...

Re: Car lift

I've been watching for a good used lift for quite sometime. None ever posted in my area, ever. New scissor lifts are in the same budget as a 4 poster. I see name brand lifts mainly at 220V, many...

Car lift

Thinking about a 4 post car lift. It would be used infrequently. No room height wise to store one car over the other, just to lift the car up to stand or sit on a stool to work on the underside....

Re: Remanufactured Flathead

Interesting. The '32 "rebuilt" engine we have has this riveted to it.

Re: Troubleshooting

I found 00 gauge cable available by the foot on Ebay. Ordered 6' for now and a hydraulic hand crimper off Amazon. We are replacing all cables on both '32's so decided to make our own. It's not Ford...

Re: Found On Road Dead

Your neighbor Tim is an admirable man in todays world. Sorry that happened to you. Whenever I drive the '32 I have my own personal rules.
1. The car doesn't leave my sight. (I wouldn't go to WalMart...

Re: V-J Day August 15, 1945

It is with the utmost respect I have for this generation. Sad the news never mentioned DDAY nor VJDay.

Re: Is there a FANdemic going on????

Wow! Glad you're safe. Had a similar incident last all. Wife and I went for a quick run around the block, so to speak in the '32. Loud squeeking as if a bearing was going out then bang. Saw something...

Re: Fuel pump gasket

Got the gasket and getting ready to put things back together. As long as we're there I want to check the fuel pressure PSI to the carb. Did a search here and from what I see the proper fuel pressure...

Re: Newbie to forum, and Ford.

What a great car! As Deuce Roadsters says I would do as little as possible and keep it as is. Cleaning the upholstery could be tricky as it may want to come apart. !st thing I'd try is to gently blow...

Re: 1946 Ford Custom Deluxe Police Car From Cop To Cop

I'm not good with technology so I'll tell you that there is much more recent news on the WSP 49 Ford restoration. They have a Facebook page and I recently saw a report on the local news.

This is a great bit of history with family ties. Doozer, I assume based on the OP you are in Law Enforcement. If true I admire and respect you. Please update us with progress.
