I did the conversion about 8 years ago. At the time, F100 was the best option and I used that. Later I found out that the F-1 set up was usable. I don't know the difference between the two.

No - you don't have to bleed the brakes. Done this a number of times w/o bleeding and never had a problem. Have the new switch in your hand near the old switch as you remove it.
I made up a bracket...

I am using the stock switch on my 54 which has been converted to 12 V. Been that way for up to 20 years with no problems.

They converted two clocks to quartz movements. First one was done 16 years ago, second about 10 years ago. No trouble with either of them, both keep excellent time.

The cone headed pin is adjustable. It may not be engaging all the way Also check the mechanism that the pin engages into making sure it is working ok.

Many newer drain plugs use a plastic/neophrene washer for sealing. Maybe you can find one for the big Ford size.

Get a multimeter or a volt meter and check the voltage. If it's not around 8 volts at fast idle that something has to be repaired - generator or regulator.

Do you mean what holds the cover on the tire? I think there was some kind of spring that held it together at the bottom. I made up something from a worm clamp
