Re: Head value

$35. is fair for a good head. A rebuildable bare block $100.

Re: Model T Sparkplugs

Do you have any evidence to support your opinion? I use X in the T, and 3X in my A and they run better than other plugs I have used.

Re: Towed car lost lots of fluids

It can happen in an A because there is no seal at that location, especially if the crankcase is full or over filled.

Re: Towed car lost lots of fluids

Gas will leak if it is not shut off or the valve is bad. the oil most likely was from the rear main.

Re: What gets inspected at your club's safety inspection?

Don't ever say anything is safe, but surely say if something is unsafe. Now the ball is back in the owners court.

Re: What gets inspected at your club's safety inspection?

If you are a mechanic maybe, but if it is your opinion I doubt they would have a claim. You can be sued for sitting on your porch but it won't make it through the court system unless you were out...

Re: Running without a torque tube center bearing ?

Would it have been engineered and added in the first place if there was no reason for it? Ask yourself and answer that idea. Were there other factors causing bearing failure?

Re: Model T Sparkplugs

You have a perfect chance to try different plugs and give us a report on how they all worked in your car. Fouling is not only caused by the plug so check other things such a carb and timing.

Re: Looking for suppliers of Piston Rings for aftermarket Split Skirt pistons

Different ring sets have different oil control types, but if they fit the piston ring grooves in the piston they will work. If you need to bore the cylinders you can buy any model A piston/ring set.
