I have never checked my timing, I will ask a club member to help me out with that. I drive with the spark lever all the way down at all times. I will try to push it up 2/3 of the ways see how it runs

I have filled it lower that the drainage tube I know some will spill when the engine is hot, but the radiator is boiling after 30 min and steam is coming out of the radiator. It is the original...

I have a 31 tudor that I like to take out on the weekends, however when I drive it for about 30min or so around the city the water starts to boil out of the radiator through the little hose that runs...

Update: I was able to check the battery and the battery was actually fully charge and in good shape. I then decided to move the cable that runs from the battery to the starter and the car turned on...

Bob if I understand this picture correctly EVR replaces the third brush? and if so where does the generator output terminal wire attach? Also where does the third brush wire attach? Would Tom happen...

Thanks Mike, the reason I was only seeing two wires to the generator was because the previous owner attached the light wire with the horn wire so that only one wire connects to the generator.

When you say "someone used the insulator on the ground brush instead of the output brush". I am not sure what that means? Can you explain, does that mean take the black wire and switch it...

Tom if I understand your regulator, it only used 2 brushes and the other one is replaced with something else you have? Please explain a little more since this is all new to me

I took a few more pictures tom and would in turn the motor applying direct power to the black wire on pic 5.

I want to get it working properly, before I install the regulator. Still not sure what...

The spring that you are talking about bob I'm guessing someone replaced it before with their own made spring and it was just loose and is missing the plastic cover to keep the spring leg in place

The only way I can get the motor to turn is if I put the power to the black cable without the yellow fitting on pic 5 directly
