Float too high sometimes, Slosh makes a flood situation. Float level too low, goes so lean it dies. Try both.

Look closely for a" R" or "L" near the part #. A 2 jaw puller might get it sliding off.

Did you remove the armored cable from the dist to check continuity and then tighten it too much after? Too tight can cause a short. Test the movable point with key on and points open. should show Hot...

First, have you checked to see that the had of the bolt fits into the square cutout in the ea crossmember? Keep the head in position as you tighten, not after, We have to assume that the bolt is new...

Figure out the "0" on #4. Meanwhile think about not firing but save it for later. Also make sure that the screw holding the distributor cam is really holding the cam and can't slip out of time.

With so many manufacturers making 2 piece units, tolerances have sometimes migrated. There is a shim to use under the nut to insure a complete clamping force on the pulley segments and the oil baffle...

Thin cloth between components. Old version electrical tape, Cloth with adhesive, might be hard to find. If you do, get lots for later.

I agree with Paul. Front or rear by center or end, but then place a jack stand and remove jack. Easiest is lift in center and stands to the outside.
