The English ford pilot is the same as a 36, but with an extension, on the winder, from memory it is plain like the photo and can be unscrewed.

I have a Bob Drake reflector kit, but apparently they don't focus well, so the sealed beam route seems better.
I am interested in what your kit is like, the conversion has to look good,...

They would take a bit of finding now, I guess. Some guys are putting sealed beams behind original fluted lenses, but that does not seem a good thing to me.

From previous posts I understand that headlight bucket for 1935 & 36 passenger cars and some pickups are the same apart from mounting studs, so then the diameter where the glass retaining ring fits...

I think you will find that heating and bending steering arms is illegal in New Zealand.

That is great, thank you, it confirms that the better block that I have is still very squashed ant it looks as if the block should stick out of the channel by about 1/8"

Certificate of vehicle registration = ownership papers, it can be put on hold so you don't pay annual licence fee. Otherwise you have to start a whole new title, which can be a problem.
