Re: Axle shipped from New Orleans to Los Angeles

Is trulyvintage (https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/member.php?u=2089) still doing runs? He is running around the country all the time. He might be taking a load that way. Worth a try anyways. Great guy....

Re: Tools for removing Shock Links

I get it. I've lost a couple torque wrenches lending over time! Why if I'm helping someone I go and help and take the tools home. Nothing ever replaces the right tool for the job when you need it....

Re: Tools for removing Shock Links

Re: Tools for removing Shock Links

If it is broken and you are not reusing it, just smack it with a mini sledge. Always good to run the nut flush with the bolt so it doesn't mushroom on you. Pickle forks can work well also. If I...

Re: I do not have an accepted URL.

It's a very good video. The confusion might be with where the image is hosted or located. Are you on a desktop, laptop, ipad, phone. Is it a hosted image, clouded, or sitting on you desktop.

It...

Highbeams you don't need a outside program to post pictures here, The only thing you need to do is make sure the pictures are not too large to use fordbarns upload. If you make pictures 900xwhatever...

Re: Mitchell overdrive

I don't remember. I think it took a little time as they might do them in batch orders. So it depends on when they are doing a run. Maybe a month or two for me. Good people and good product. Worth the...

Re: Patina or Paint?

Well done. Works great with your truck without messing with the truck down the road for someone else. Wood sides would have been probably more common back then. I have them for my 38, sometimes I use...

Re: Drive shaft lock pin

It's just a pin that holds a collar in place. If the splines are tight there is no reason other then decades of spline wear for a pin to break under normal flathead power. Removed a couple with the...

Re: Why won't it start?

Being this motor was running before. Take the starter off and put a couple nuts on end starter bolts to keep it together. Hook up a jumper cable off a battery and see if it spins. If the starter...

Re: How much is 6 volts?

And optimas do not like to be topped off every sitting day. Same with cell phone batteries. You can over cycle them. if you leave them plugged in all time. It's okay to let them run down. If your...

Like I mentioned it's just my personal opinion waynet. All good as I don't own it. Just an opinion. It's not a comment on Bills truck (that thing is a work of art) or a negative to him for having an...

Re: Why won't it start?

A 6volt starter will turn twice as fast under 12volts. Might be why you are experiencing some issues with the Bendix. Maybe replace the whole bendix. It's truthfully been done for yrs to run a 6volt...

Re: 1932 The Deuce, Dually, Dump Truck

I missed local thresher show rose city up here this weekend. Have loaded up the McCormick-deering in the back of the 38. Small show. Next year.

Re: Patina or Paint?

Please don't put a logo on the side. If it wasn't there don't add it. If it was there, then you could have a pinstriper rework it. Personally I'm not a fan of putting a fake business logo on the side...
