I bought a trolley jack and can do all that you mentioned. Works by air over hyd. and has safetys built it that locks it in the desired height position, it automatically locks in place on the rails...

I have 2 Bendpacs, use them most every day, 13 yrs no problems. My HD 12 has a trolley jack that allows me to pick-up the front or rear. I have no need for a 2 post. If you are mechanically inclined...

did you do a compression test on # 4? If no compression I would pull side cover and see if valves are opening and closing.
