Charlie I do have steel drums , I had a mechanic help me he said they were steel An thin an I should put cast iron on the car. We changed the master cylinder 5 times before getting one that diden...

I bought the car with these brakes. I decided to put all new brakes. The only thing I did not change was drums.

They are single. The bottom adjusters Diden seem to do any good. I know the dots should face each other with new shoes. Not good on adjusting

vibrates when backing up

i have 60 hp flat head in my car an when starting to back up it ishakes bad. smooth in 1st. any suggestions is appreciated.

I though ever thing was good the truck will crank an idle, give it gas an it just spudders moving the timing don’t help. I have checked points,plugs and carburetor flustered.

After all this I found the problem. I bought a rebuilt distributor an the nut holding the primary an condenser wire was loose, tightened them an now have spark on points. Thanks for all the help.

The battery is good the eng turns over good. After putting in a distributor it won’t start. There is fire at the points.

I cleaned the switch, an now have fire to the coil on the negative side. The positive side with points open. It cranked for 2 seconds an stoped now just spends. What can I check now.

No fire

My 51 ford truck with the original flathead. There is no fire from switch to coil I have checked the switch all looks good. Any suggestion on what to check.

It is the same if you give it gas easy or continue to give it gas. Still spines a lot before starting.

It is still 6 volt. I put the coil that is suggested for the electronic chip. Starts an runs great when cold an when you stop for 5 min just touch the button an it fires right up. but if you are 15...

Hard to start.

51 ford truck. Cranks easy when cold altering driving an turn it off after 10 min it just turns a lot before starting. It has an electrionic chip. Do I need to adjust carb.
