disconnect positive and negative wire from coil take meter set to 12 V, turn ignition on touch positive to positive wire ground to engine ck reading should be 12 plus volts
to test coil first set...

Iíve had American Collectors for a long time, put in a claim for a 48 Chevy I had at the time. They sent out an independent appraiser and within a couple of weeks had a check for repairs.

If your Flatty is running hot you have an issue! How do you know it’s running hot? don’t trust those gauges! use a laser temp gun to confirm actual temp.

thanks for the replies, no I didn’t test them before I put them in! replaced housings and thermostats because they look pretty bad but they still ran at 180 guess I should’ve stuck with them! never...

replaced anti-freeze & thermostats 8ba, know running hotter then 180? some where around 190-200. ANY IDEAíS??
