I too will run the non ethanol as long its available. I let lots of things sit idle too long and the old stale gas is a stinking mess but mess with this ethanol is whole other mess. I bought a mower...

They look like seat adjuster links that goes from track to track. Judging by the length I would guess they are from some type of bucket seats?

Very high belt tension needed to run the serpentine belt drive which loads all bearings much higher than a v belt which requires very little.

If it was vacuum on the line when you pulled it, the points plate shifted and lost connection or ground inside.

Also no hole in the floor plate for the floor shift but has a slot for a ebrake handle or PTO handle?? The plate appears to match?

Also a non vented cap when things warm up causes high pressures in the tank that needle valve and flexible hoses can't take. One of them ask me how I know!

Sludge clogging the screen is a high possibly also. Its cost me bearings and cranks for not making sure the oil pump screen is clean.
