When was the last time your torque wrench was calibrated? They can and do go out of calibration over time with use.

The correct fog light brackets have a clamp that clamps on to the bumper arm. Many times the lights are sold missing the brackets or have the wrong generic type.

Yes ,the '39 had them. Same p/n as the '37-'38 but the '39 had rounded end of the plate versus square ends on the earlier plate. Not sure of the cable routing.

AHA! Now you know the reason for the KRW risers. Run the engine, locate loose valve adjustment and adjust while engine is still warm. Will still cause burned fingers.
