Re: 1932 1933 1934 truck restoration or hot rod

Hop up,

Having an early cab with the non-removable roof and brace-less visor is consistent with the chassis. About all we haven't covered is the cowl vent, which likely is an early version as...

Re: 34 starter switch

Since most of the them on offer are either NOS or NORS, there's a fair chance that they actually work.

Re: 1932 1933 1934 truck restoration or hot rod

Your truck has a very early chassis frame, not the first version, which had no 'legs' on the center cross member to form a K, but the second iteration. The purpose of those pieces riveted to the...

Re: Early intake manifold

Either '32 or '33 depending on how the generator was attached, assuming the manifold was for a single barrel carburetor.

Re: 1932 1933 1934 truck restoration or hot rod

That color (golden orange) was a standard color choice for '32 and '33 commercial vehicles. It will eventually have black DT&I (Henry's railroad) logos on its doors.

Re: 34 front fenders assembly

Mart,

Very observant! Yes, only one bolt goes all the way into the D nuts in the grille itself. There are recesses in the grille perimeter to clear the heads of the other two fasteners per...

Re: WHO Is the Oldest Early V8 Forum Member?

I'll help bump the average back up. 81 plus and my first car was a '32 Ford (surprise, surprise) Model B standard coupe for $50. It was comparable to the one on another recent thread herein, only...

Re: 48 Allard on eBay with a Ford Flathead V8

Heresy, but the Cadillac powered Allards had a lot more umph.

Re: Original 1932 Standard Coupe up for auction

Keith,

A big project, but one that will give you great satisfaction in my opinion.

Re: Original 1932 Standard Coupe up for auction

My first car was a $50 B standard coupe like this one back in 1955 and I've had three more of them since. I'm with Robert; I like them just as they were built.

Re: 34 front fenders assembly

Here's a phone showing the apron on a super-low-mileage '33 roadster (all original paint, upholstery, and even the top).

Re: 34 front fenders assembly

Nope, originally the pan was on the bottom of the fender flanges, not on top.

Re: Bob Drake fuel sending unit / customer service

Wait a minute. Before throwing rocks at Bob Drake, once your "shop" altered the sending unit, all bets were off. Any warranty anywhere does not cover parts that have been altered by the customer or...

Re: 1932 - 1934 roadster pickup door hinges

You're best bet is to start with '32 phaeton/roadster hinges which are available as reproductions. They share the same hinge pin as the roadster pickup hinge. Cabriolet hinges may look similar...

Re: 1934 pickup toe board

There's one on ebay at the present time going off shortly. A photo is attached, but I believe the listing to be in error and the pan listed is for a '33-'34 four-cylinder passenger car. The...

Re: 1932 - 1934 roadster pickup door hinges

:(The four part numbers, B-76600, 76601, 76602, and 76603, for the roadster pickup hinges do not show up in the '32-'34 body parts catalogs as being used on any other body type. Further, the catalog...
