They would be from out of the pressure plate.

You need to replace the clutch ass'y, and possibly the release (throwout) bearing.

Don't forget the hardened flat washers that go between the castle nut and the hub. FWIW, the washers I got from Bratton's were too soft, I ended up getting proper hardened washers from the local...

I would assume that the '32 V-8 frame is a lot different than the '32 Model B frame.

It stands to reason that the lower portion of the block is hotter that the top portion as there is no coolant jacket down there. That's why piston clearance spec is greater on these types of blocks...

Check that the C-clip fits properly before you put in the spring and spider. It's a pain to fight the spring and then find out that the C-clip doesn't fit right.

Sometimes the rubber disc in the throat needs replacing, they deteriorate w/age and use.

At this point quickly put the hand crank in and see if the engine will turn over relatively easy, or seized.
