Re: 1930 cabriolet wood pieces

The Benson center may have what you need in the way of drawings but I don't think wood drawings in total exist for your car.

You can start on MAFFI and look at the drawing available before you...

Re: babbit tolerance? .000?

I "jumped to the conclusion that Ford used "Babbitt"!" What did he use? Never mind I don't believe I would get a straight answer.

Let me see, here it is, the definition of Babbitt, "Babbitt...

Re: babbit tolerance? .000?

Apology.

I jumped to a conclusion about reuse of Babbitt. I have zero proof that they do anything other then use the pot to melt the old rod bearings out.

Re: What would identify a Brookville 1931 Roadster Body

The Brookville body costs about $7000.00 So I would say that cost would be the difference between original and Brookville.

Re: Checking generator output

If you do a search for charging voltages of wet cells you will find the range is 2.15 - 2.35 per cell (6.45 and 7.05 for a 3 cell 6 volt battery).

Again if you do another search for the Delco...

Re: babbit tolerance? .000?

The video showed them dipping the rods to remove the babbit. How much do you want to bet they re-use Babbitt? One more thing they mentioned "lead based babbitt that Ford used" Not true.

Here is...

Re: Fuse blows even when key off

Keep in mind that on the Model A the ignition switch only turns on the ignition, and only the power to the points at that. Everything else will have power when the battery is connected.

Re: Engine Oil consumption

Try this, don't put in any oil and drive another 200 miles and see if it goes down any more.

Re: Short circuit issues. Where to start

The biggest problem is we don't (and it seems you don't ) exactly how the car was wired.

If it were me I would turn everything off. I would disconnect the output of a terminal on the fuse panel....

Re: Judging Standards on Digital Media?

Nope. As stated lot of time and money went into producing them. Once out there, they would be copied and investment/incentive would be lost.
