Yes, It is all the same in and out as the Police Head, except for the date marked on the top & No "B".. Also No #s or Script as your show. I have several of them..

Ok I have one more head which is mold dated 1936 which has the same looks as the Police Heads that I have that are cracked. Are they from the same mold, and the same Compression as the Police ones.. ...

Repair of Police (B) Head..

I have two of them, Both cracked in the combustion chambers.. Are they worth trying to fix ? if so how ?. Been told by one shop that they have not had much luck trying on other heads..

Yup, Another wrong size bolt installed...That is an easy fix.. On 2nd thought in looking at the gas inlet on the side bowl top, it looks like leaks just looking to happen !! Get another Original...

If you want it as Factory, go with Bergs 100%.. But I would send him you original upper & lower tanks along with the side straps.. Just a Driver, Still Bergs..

First, The nuts are were steel to begin with, not brass, and were put on to 25/30 Ft.Lbs.

Police Head

What is the correct head gasket to use when installing the Police "B" Head on a Model "A".. Also where to get one ??. Been told using regular head gasket is fine ??..

If needed buy a Crusty old Rust bucket on E-Bay, Glass bead it, Get it apart, Soak it, glass bead it, buy all guts from Renners, install & Happy Motoring !!..

You my be just wasting your time if it is like that, with rust !!. The rest of it will be to far gone (the threads) and pin holes in the body sides to use.

Ok, You say, "like they all due" BUT with no mention of the SHIM I spoke of.. I have used one in my 1928 Coupe from 1965 until now and it still works fine..This with the abel drive & the correct...
