Thank you everyone! Yes, vacuum leak. Intake/exhaust manifold was not tightened enough. Had to go back and forth from end to end to finally get where it needed to be. ALSO, accelerator pump in carb...

great idea Ken, never thought of that. it was pushing oil out when I had the pump rod in however. I removed it to let the motor breath better.

yes confusing to us as well. the breather tube is tight, the oil filler tube is clear (no fuel pump rod or tube-even the cap+tube are removed for better air flow, electric fuel pump)sat for so long...
