Not saying this is "the fix", but I had a seeper once and flipped the gasket over just to see if it would stop....it did. Someone put some vasoline around the gasket ???? not sure it worked though.

My first car was a 1950 Ford 6 cylinder. Had the engine & distributer rebuilt & drove it hard for 3 years. Two owners & several years of abuse later, it still ran GR8 & the Load-o-matic worked fine.

As to "new" Mellings oil pumps, my experience was that the new one made less oil pressuree than the old stock Ford did on a fresh rebuilt 8BA.
