Re: Side shift transmission serial number ?

russcc .....I believe "rotorwrench" meant that the earlier 1946 model production cars did not have the figure "6" in the "699" prefix until later in the production year. I don't believe that he was...

Re: Found some nice old Ford pics.

There is a white 1936 Dodge (third car beyond the Willys) must be what you're talking about. You can see the Dodge "RAM" on top of the radiator shell if ya squint real hard...extreme bottom, right...

FRENCH Block With 4" Merc Crank

.

Anyone with actual experience....when using a 4" Merc crank in a French block, WHICH flywheel must you use? A 1CM-type flywheel, or a PRE-'49 flywheel following the PRE-'49 features on the rear...

Re: Can you guys stand another picture problem?

I just tried to Copy & Paste. It will only paste a line of superfluous gibberish.

Re: Correct generator for a '40 Ford

Re: 39 Pickup questions.

Maybe you ought to at least re-think that radiator. Think about the grill being glued to the radiator side panels, plus the fact that the rad is so tall and accommodating of the two steady rods...

Re: FORD/MERCURY 1939-1948...Differences (Re-Boot)

OK, how about this (and I NEVER even thought about Merc production facilities) .....were Mercurys built in Ford assembly plants back then? Were they built in a Merc-ONLY facility? The picture above...
