Re: Harman Collins early flathead cams - need info

Thanks ever so much Pete for the information on these cams. The 6372 cam, I am confident is an original Harman Collins cam. It has Harman Collins stamped on it and their logo is stamped in between...

Harman Collins early flathead cams - need info

I have a couple of Harman Collins early flathead cams that I have had for a very long time. I hadn't realized until recently that Harman Collins marked their cams or at least some of them on the side...

Re: “Edmunds custom” heads and intake value?

Offy would have all of their old patterns and I'm sure their 1067 patterns would be the original ones. Only 4 sets of these 1067 heads were sold when they first came out. I have a set of the Smith...

Re: “Edmunds custom” heads and intake value?

A new set of Offy heads is $1500, and the new 1067 Offy heads that are much thicker are at $2000 for a set of 59A heads. Now try that on for size!

Re: Rare intakes?

Actually the Kates intake manifold is from the Shanafelt pattern and would have been cast in the USA. I have never been able to track down who Kates was or the identity of the intake. Perhaps made by...

Re: Auction of Gene Hetland's mostly '32 parts

Yes David, I did read all of your post #61. It was extremely well written and you have that special talent when it comes to writing, and I fully can understand your viewpoint. You obviously liked...

Re: Auction of Gene Hetland's mostly '32 parts

TJ, yes I have tried to help out younger people by selling intake manifolds to them for a very reasonable price, just to help them out with their project and get them along in the hobby. I remember...

Re: Auction of Gene Hetland's mostly '32 parts

I think that Tubman's post puts everything into perspective. Things are really going to change in the next 5 to 10 years. I really don't know what is going to happen to our hobby .Some younger people...

Re: Auction of Gene Hetland's mostly '32 parts

The auction I was referring to was the online auction of parts and not the 1932 Ford cars and other vehicles that were also up for auction. The auction I was referring to is the first posting in this...

Re: Auction of Gene Hetland's mostly '32 parts

23% buyers premium is just pure greed. I just took one look at that and from then on I had no interest in this auction at all. I'll wait for Hershey to come back and look for parts there.

Re: Anyone with experiences working with Gocat speed shop?

Another one of his conspiracy theories is that Marilyn Monroe was a man. No wonder DiMaggio's batting average went way down when he found out.

So, the Eric Brown story continues on. I would have...

Re: Anyone with experiences working with Gocat speed shop?

With all of this theft and crap going on at Go Cat why isn't someone doing something about this? Last time I checked isn't theft a criminal offense?

59A Howard F7 Cam

I'm looking at a Howard F7 cam for a 59A flattie. I know the Howard F9 cam works really well and I was wondering if the Howard F7 cam is worthwhile even bothering with. Howard Johansen is probably...

Re: Anyone with experiences working with Gocat speed shop?

Go Cat is one engine builder to avoid. The other is Flathead City in Oregon. Don't give either one of these engine builders any consideration whatsoever. Save yourself a lot of grief and go somewhere...

Fordbuilder; apparently you are not set up to accept PM's on here. I couldn't get my PM response sent to you. I can tell you all about Go Cat. Sorry to hear you have been waiting for your engine to...

Re: Anyone with experiences working with Gocat speed shop?

Whatever you do don't go there. My experience with Go Cat Speed Shop was absolutely horrible. Waited 4 years to have my flathead completed and got about 50 miles on the engine before it blew up. (...
