Re: Fan Belt Squeak

Thanks for all the replies. I did spray with WD40 a week ago but I think that is a temporary fix. The squeak came back. Now I have a bunch of things to try.
I can't wait to get started.

Re: Wheel painting

I was looking to paint my wheels "straw" a couple years ago. I took the Antique Ford Paint Manual to a big box store and found that Rustoleum's Gloss Warm Yellow was a very close match. I'm color...

Re: Turn Signals . . . Your Thoughts

I haven't yet, but it's only a matter of time before I put them on my car. A couple weeks ago I was at a red light and was going to make a right turn, opposite me was a policeman. As I signaled a...

Charley,
These all sound like good advice. Big John and I talked about your problem the other night. Let me know if I can help.

Re: Water Pump ID and Questions

Right, What FM says, the collar goes under the pulley to keep the shaft from traveling back too far. When properly installed you should never see the collar.

Guys,
Thanks for the responses. We borrowed the "special wrench" last night and we're going to try to tighten things up this morning. I'll let you all know how things worked out.

Crankshaft pulley question

I'm reading about the difference in a one piece pulley vs. a two piece pulley. The two piece can be removed without taking the radiator out? I assume the two piece can only be initially installed...

I don't know if MMO will free up the valve, but I never put fuel in my car without it.

No, Ryan, I don't think I am but I can't pull the handle back any further. I figured that when I said the brake won't hold at three clicks someone would tell me to pull it back four clicks. Can the...

Rear Main Question ??

We're putting together the best parts of two engines (one a '29 and one a '31) to make one good one. When we tried to bolt on the rear main, the bolts were too long. Finally found in the Les Andrews...
