Re: 39 accelerator pedal

I don't have a photo of what you are seeking. There's a staked nut within the wood floor board. One bolt with lock washer goes through the pedal "hinge" and in to the staked nut. That holds the...

Re: 39 coupe floor mat

Benton gray is not really gray in my eyes. It's dark tan.

Re: 39 accelerator pedal

Guys, guys, guys... authentic (read: CORRECT) pedals have two ends bent over on the metal plate that is ultimately bolted to the floor board. When the pedal is fastened to the wooden floor board, the...

Re: pre-bent brake line kit - 39/40 Ford quality

Guys, I have made more sets of lines than I can recall properly. I know how to double flair and bend.
At the time I needed the last set of lines, I was unable to get a set of straight lines - the...

pre-bent brake line kit - 39/40 Ford quality

Someone had fairly recently asked me how the pre-bent brake line kits are for '39 / '40 Fords. Unfortunately, I can't recall who...

The kits do come with pre-bent lines as the advertising states. ...

Re: Early Ford engin paint

I prefer the stuff Roy Nacewicz sold. Mike Driskell now sells it. If you desire accuracy in color, this is the best there is.
Yep, Hirsch paint flows and adheres well but it is not correct in shade.

Re: 1940 Windshield Seal

Windshield... best comes from Carp.
Rear windshield, Drake. Carp's are too long as if they were stretched when released from the mold.

Re: 1939 Ford Transmission #ís

Half ton pickup trucks with factory four speed had serial numbers that began with BB. I believe the BB denoted four speed regardless of the truck it was installed in.

Re: Thanks Once Again To Charlie NY!!!!

I second your praise for Charlie. Wonderful man that does wonderful work. He is the only fellow I have used to date that I KNOW will "get it right" each and every time.

Re: Part For A 34 Ford Half Way Made Anyone like to Guess What It Is

First I'd encountered was '75 Buick 231CID six cylinder. The left - front intake bolt. Had to be a Torx as the distributor was there - not enough clearance for a hex head bolt.

Re: Part For A 34 Ford Half Way Made Anyone like to Guess What It Is

There's also a mill head that will actually cut square corners. I'd only used that a couple of times. Never did...

Re: Barrett Jackson

I've been watching this thread and want to (finally) add that this car was bought "about right" in my opinion.
It isn't that nice of a car. Maybe a decent driver.
Guys, this ain't 1995 anymore....

Re: Mouse motor check it out

Any of you witnessed mufflers packed with all that stuff? I have on a few old cars. I seal the tail pipes on all my cars placed in storage.
