Re: Reconditioned Model A engine block
The manifold studs on my ’26 Buick were a “through hole” direct into the water jacket. The threads were sealed with a liberal coating of aviation Permatex.

Re: Latest aluminum block.
alexiskai, I like the look of Tod's Winfield crowfoot head. Nice job with the paint. Red looks right. Appears to be a quality cast and machined head. How does one order one?

Re: Post or not?
Wow, that looks absolutely amazing. Very nice.

Re: Dual Condensers?
Interesting thread on condensers.
I have never seen two condensers in a distributor so can’t help with OP’s question.

Re: Borg-Warner OD Wiring
Doug Linden,
Excellent tip on using the centrifugal switch. I hadn’t thought of using it that way to prevent reverse engagement. Going to look at mine today and see if it still has the guts in it....

Re: High compression head question
I would like to see the data that proves the Prus head does not deliver the advertised 8:1 compression. I was assured by Mr. Prus himself that it indeed delivers 8:1.

Re: High compression head question
I live in a hilly area at 5300 ft. elevation. Installed the Prus 8:1 head on my stock ’26 runabout last year. Best upgrade for the money. Like the ad says, “Flattens the hills”. A hill I had to...
