Re: King Pin not matting with brake shaft housing – 1932 Ford

To be fair, that is a drop axle. I don't beleive it is a reproduction of stock Ford specifications. I could be wrong....

Re: 2024 Chickasha pre-war Swap Meet

I agree that the swap meets are dwindling away. However, the economy is in pretty rought shape also. I work at a bank and there are not many people spending money on much of anything.

Re: Front window drainage - 37

Very good point. When I installed new drain hoses on my very original '37, I made sure those passages were clean and clear of dirt.

Re: 190-A Victoria Coupe Trivia

There is a'31 leather back on BAT auctions right now. I'm thinking it won't meet the reserve. I could be wrong. It seems as though the market is soft for Model A's & V8 Fords, unless it is a really...

Re: 1939 Ford pickup upper radiator hose

1938 & 1939 pickups have been mostly ignored by folks for decades. I have a '39 half ton. They were considered ugly so no one wanted them. Now it seems like they have turned the corner somewhat....

Re: 1939 Ford pickup upper radiator hose

I believe the upper hoses have a steel tube that connect to short rubber hoses on the radiator necks and heads.

Re: Front window drainage - 37

I believe the rubber drain hoses go down the side of the cowl, behind the kick panels and drain out of a hole in the bottom of the cowls near where the running board meets the fender.

Re: 37 Deluxe Coupe with a 11" clutch?

I'd say put a new disk and pressure plate on and go. Otherwise you'll need to find a '37 flywheel and a 9' pressure plate and disk.

Re: 37 Deluxe Coupe with a 11" clutch?

Did the 11" clutch and pressure plate work okay? It seems like overkill but if it worked why change it?

Re: Stuck Valve ?

Did you do a compression check? What was the compression on the suspect cylinder? Just curious and not trying to be a smart ass, what where the symptoms? What made you think you had a stuck valve?

Re: Value of an Un-Restored Model A Engine

I put several Model A and V8 Flatheads out by the road in front of my house. I have a sign on them that says "Free". Hoepfully someone will take the time to haul them off.

Re: OT: What type wood between frame rails and truck box?

Oak. On every straight truck we've ever owned it's oak and the bed sits on top. It will take decades for it to rot if ever. I've never seen it rot. Treated lumber could cause corrosion of the metal....

Re: Installing a wiring harness

I see you're in Kansas. If you were closer I'd install an original type wire harness for you. I'm younger, however it doesn't take me long. It's plug and play, so to speak.
