I originally made the main part from 25X 50 RHS but later doubled up on it.
This has towed the caravan aprox 80000 klms around the country on all sorts roads,with no drama,

Thanks, The kid second from the left is my father in law Clive, he died 4 yrs ago at 94, was at Guadalcanal in ww2 ,NZ Air Force .

33 with a 99a engine, stock rad and cooling ,towed the caravan in the hills in 2nd gear in 44C, and on the flat in 47C ,no over heat

On the last weekend we went up to Rocky for the big car event there,1200 cars,
saw this neat old car in the same caravan park as us, it was a 1938 Graham,it was powered by an 8ba, neat conversion....

Thanks for the reply,
I left it out ,
I thought about it ,and reasoned we have had our 33 for about 25 yrs and never had it in and had no problems ,
what a great resource is the barn.

Where did you get the clutch from,New does not mean good.
shuddering could be oil or grease on the faces. did you clock up the flywheel face after you bolted it up to the crank?
check the pressure...

just about 40-50 mm.if you make them too long you cant get the eng lined up as you won't have enough room to get it at the right angle.
We are off to the Rocky nats in the morning in the 33 and...

Rob, make some guide studs to screw into the block and then its an easy job to line up the trans, I put a trolley jack under the trans as well .

I put spacers under the engine mounts until the crank was in the centre of the crank handle guide.
this is on a 33, but needed the spacers

I have worked out the bob weight weight, so that will save...
