Thanks for the reminder. I will be inspecting all internal components. Bearings, gears, ect.. Then onto brakes on all four corners.

I have installed a Marvel Mystery Inverse oiler device that has worked very well to prevent sticky valves. Uses about a pint of MMO per thousand miles. And looks cool under the hood.

Did a 53' F250 w/215 I-6 have a factory fan shroud? Engine does not run hot.
I like the added saftey of a shroud though.

I have a aux. 6 volt vacuum pump on my truck. It has a switch that cycles it on when manifold vacuum is low. Helps alot. Appears to be original to the truck, maybe dealer option. 1950 F5coe

try a leak down test on the suspect cylinder. You may determine why the low compression reading.
