Crab Condenser relocation

I have seen on some previous posts, where they relocate the ('42 - '48) crab distributor condenser to an area up near the coil, in a more accessible area.

Having the recent occasion(s) to replace...

Re: Fighting a "missing then stall problem" when hot

Update: After having replaced the condenser with another "new" IH 200, it appears fixed. I say this because I spent 1/2 hour driving around the block...

Re: Banjo Bearing Lubrication Question

19Fordy, nice homemade vent, should work well. Have used the grease on drill bits in the past successfully to avoid chips in tubes.

Found these to work well as vents too.

Re: Picture of Firewall needed

Wire harness in, heater installed. Here are pictures of what I have come up with for the routing of the heater hoses. Behind the carburetor works best for me, for as I rotate the nipple towards the...

Re: Picture of Firewall needed

Slight detour before I install the heater. While I was under the dash, looking at the wires, man, noticed that they were in bad shape. Previous owner(s) patched here and there, and cut and spliced...

Re: One leaky head stud

Going to use what GOSFAST recommended first. I have the coolant drained for installation of rebuilt heater, so it is an excellent opportunity to pull that stud.

Just remembered, a while back I...

One leaky head stud

After about 1200 miles, I have one head stud that is showing signs of a leak. Can I just remove the nut, clean, apply sealer and re-torque nut? Or will I have to remove stud and seal that? What is...

Dave, would it be possible to scan the diagram and either post or PM it? From the pictures in Drake's catalog, its difficult to see what all's in the harness.

Thanks.

Re: Picture of Firewall needed

Finally, here is what we have, just before installation of the stock rebuilt heater unit.
Could not find an existing modern heater core substitute to suit my needs, so I had it re-cored at BJR...

'42 - '48 Passenger Heater Core

I need a repairable (or good) heater core. The existing one is too far gone.

A new 7 3/4 X 7 3/4 X 2 1/2 core block is rather pricey. The repair guy suggested finding another one to try.

Re: Picture of Firewall needed
