Re: Decided against turn signals.....what about this idea?

Isnt there some sort of magnetic base light that you could add when you want to go for a drive. I am with you on originality but my safety trumps that. Too many distracted drivers, and people in...

Re: Body Shims

My experience is with 70's cars not A's, these shims are quite common. Used to align sheet metal. Once the bolt is tight I have yet seen one work loose and the shims fall out. Dont know about using...

Re: Blue Ribbon Restorations

The beauty of this hobby is that there are many different ways to enjoy your car. Some get that enjoyment from simply driving, some restoring whether it be for a concours or cruise night.
I too...

Re: Blue Ribbon Restorations

Curious as to the intent of the original post. Is the OP working on one? I do understand the comment excluding pro's, no offense to any of those present I'm sure. I am in the final stages myself (not...

Re: current phenomena ................

I just bought a 2013 F150. I have been looking since about this time last year. This past sept I finally pulled the plug and got one. For the same price I paid for my truck in Sept I could have...

Re: Preparing for the end.

Like them or not you need to consult an attorney and get a will. Things need to be spelled out. Let the lawyer know whom you want to have what. As far as parts that have been accumulated, get rid of...

Re: Preserved Time Warp - Unrestored Two-Owner 36K Mile Early 29 with Wonderful Patin

I think the word 'patina' is over used in todays car world. It is justified with this car. Another current trend is to keep cars original. Not all cars should be left that way. Too many rust buckets...

Re: My cousin in Florida saw this old picture at a Cracker Barrel, this morning!

Cool Pic. It very well may be regional, if the store is in Fla, this may even be Daytona. Cars on the beach there go as far back as there were cars. I too think these are skim boards. I had always...

Re: ok new old 29 roadster...... preservation?

Good question. Recently a discussion on another forum. IMO, if the car is presentable, get the mechanicals running safely and enjoy the heck out of it. Restoration is a VERY deep bunny hole. On the...

Re: Hemmings MOdel A Calendar

I have subscribed to multiple hemmings publications. I usually re-up at Carlisle. They were conspicuously absent in the spring. I did find their booth at Hershey and was planning on renewing for...

Re: Moving the 30/31 Victoria on Amer. Pickers

I read a blip on another forum regarding a guy that sold a car 'to them for the show'. He said the deal actually started months before they even got there. The production co. arranged with another...

Re: Hershey Thursday. ..Changes next year

From what I understand and reading what a lot of vendors had to say, this year was a success. Many were reporting record sales.

Re: Hershey Thursday. ..Changes next year

I tend to agree with Richard Crow. I spent most of yesterday walking around. Didnt buy anything but had a good time. After going for many years I still have no idea what a chocolate field, blue...

And No Chocolate! Thats the second best part. Although if it were in DE would be an hour closer to me.

As far as 2022, what I have heard is that the event will take place a day earlier and end a...

Re: Aaca Museum

I go to that museum a couple of times a year. They have exhibits that revolve once a year or so. A lot of the stuff is the same but the new stuff keeps things on their toes. I can easily spend a...
