PS - if you buy a new Bendix be sure you remove the excess grease it may...

original owner being one of my Dad's best friends.
Original rear and front windows were replaced in 1963 with safety glass in MN and 'DO'...

I ordered a float from Sammy at AZ Model A and he is including a length of thin stainless steel wire to 'tie' float to rod.
Sammy is full of good info and treats his customers...

I still have my original cast-iron bowl and may re-install it.

I've had my A since 1963 and it had no problems when I replaced it with the glass bowl 3 years ago.

I just drained my fuel for a 3 month storage by running it dry.
Noticed a little sediment in the bottom of the glass bowl as I removed it.
Turns out the 'dirt' was from the deteriorating neoprene...

Thanks for the info.
After I spread the rivet I used a clamp with a plastic cap on the outside of the cover
and was able to cinch up the rivet head flush/tight to the cover...

However, just how do I get a 'tight' attachment as a pop rivet would?
I did start to try a long straight slot screwdriver but quit B4 I thought
I might mess up the rivet.

Sparton Horn Cover Plate rivets question....

I received my Sparton horn cover plate in the mail today and the two included rivets are the split style.
I was expecting pop rivets for my Arrow pop riveter.
Do all suppliers ship their covers...

The Tazman is no longer in the carburetor business.
Last conversation with him he recommended Bert's for carburetors.
I wouldn't be comfortable taking apart my carb and putting it back...

I had it rebuilt by The Tazman about 3-4 yrs ago with air-channeling to use my air filter in the dusty tri-state area here in AZ.
My A runs runs fine on my neighborhood streets. I get up to 35mph...
