How hot does it get there? Do you use ethanol gas? I've read where the gas in the carb bowl can start to boil and cause similar symptoms in hot climates or when the engine is running hotter than it...

I had some fun with the starter switch on my 30 coupe when I first took delivery. First, it had an aftermarket extension assembly with hand operated switch which clamped to the steering column....

Yes the link is helpful indeed, thanks! Here are pics of both sides of the horn motor as requested. Looks pretty much like the horn in #3 to me.
