I have run the stock distributer and Carb in my 53 for 20 years and 60000 miles. I run 18 to 19 mpg. As long as I leave the car stock I see no reason to change.

If you initially fill the OD and trans with oil will the oil move between the two so it is possible to just check the trans. The car is a 53. Thanks

53 overdrive recomended oil

All I have been able to find is the 85-90 GL5 gear oil is this the correct
oil to use. Thanks

Recently rebuilt 292 great compression, no smoke, doesn't overheat has excessive oil coming from draft tube assembly on side of block. Any suggestions as to cause. Thanks Len

On my 56 I am on my third pump from Napa. All three developed a oil leak in a short amount of time. Any other supplier that has a pump that doesn't leak?
The leak is not from the mounting flange It...

Is it possible to remove a V8 with a overdrive trans It is a 53. I am thinking it might be easier to install when I finish working on the engine. Thanks
