How do you absolutely clean porous aluminum? That was always a problem for me when I tried to heli arc weld heat exchangers.

tandem axle hd trailer with a full size car was too much for my 1950 F1. I only towed it less than a mile but realized it was too much weight.

Could you not move the radiator forward to the holes in the frame for the 6 cylinder engine and gain necessary room for hoses?

We had a trailer that was always liable to be stolen, so I cut off the hitch and welded in a receiver. Then I welded a hitch to a 2" solid square stock that was removable.

If you borrow or rent the mag base drill check for excessive wear in the ways. If there is any slop the bit may wander.

Check the transmission cover/floor pan to see if it's solid or does it have a cut out for the tower.

I like the cat yellow engine mount. Also your adjustment pulley.

30 years ago I put a 6BT 5.9 crate engine in an old White compact with an Allison MT 640 Transmisson. Very good combination...

Oil drain pan with some drained coolant/ anti freeze.
Also kills any thing else that might drink it.
