I have done this with 56 vents. Liberal amount of WD40 (softens up glass tape) will allow you to wiggle the glass out, spray it on new tape to install. WD 40 will evaporate and glass will be tightly...

I installed 12V. Halogens on my 39 std. with new reflectors, relays and clear lenses. When I bought them I was advised to use the clear lenses, as the halogen bulbs don't do well with faceted lenses....

Ralphie's house is in Cleveland (now a museum) and the Higbee store where the window scenes were shot is now the Horseshoe Casino on public square. I spent many Christmas times there in the late 40s....

Sounds like you may have a flywheel drilled for a Borg & Beck (Mercury style) pressure plate. A very suitable alternative , and I would think available through Napa etc.. Paul Selfe.

Terry, The removable (bent tabs) cover is for the handle return spring, I need to replace the spiral spring that holds the door latch closed. You have to remove the latch dog to get at that spring....

Are you still using the original ignition switch? If so, check the connections on the back. I had a similar problem with a loose connection. A little bouncing on the flatbed may have snugged it back...
