Removing door handles from a 40

I need to remove the outside door handles and key holes from my 40. (It's a 4 door so I've got a few) I've done some staring at it but haven't figured it out. Any thoughts? Thanks.

dim head lights

The headlights on my bone stock (almost) 40 are putting out a dim glow. Bright enough for others to see me but they are not giving me much road information. This is still a 6 volt car. The...

Compression check prep

Last spring I bought a 59 engine for my long term project. (40 sedan) I was told that this was an engine that was built sometime in the 50's and was running a year before I got it. I have no proof...

drum-disc master cylinder for 40

I apologise if this is a well beaten horse but I am still confused. I have speedway discs on the front of my project forty. It's a rolling chassis-body off frame. I'm ready to move on with a...

40 transmission capacity

This info is probably in here somewhere but I haven't found it. I've drained the old oil out of my transmission (it was nasty!!) and want to refill it. How much and what kind?

Thanks

40 fuel line mess

After the euphoria of fixing (I hope) my fuel pump woes on my driver, I am realising that I have a real hodgepodge of fuel line. Part of it is original metal interspersed with rubber hose. There...

Re: electric fuel pump stops pumping

I crawled under and didn't see any obvious problems. I did see that the electric pump is mounted a good two feet in front of the tank. Is that a problem? I think I have made up my mind to get a...

I don't think it's the coil. The last time this happened, I was staring at the engine (a large chunk of my mechanical knowledge) with the switch on and heard the pump come back on and watched fuel...
