Re: how to mount 1948-52 F-1 cab on the frame

If you lift it with straps thru the doors or without the doors be sure to use wood blocks or rubber pads, etc. to keep the straps away from the rain gutters so as to not crush them.

They just slide apart. there is no rod. The hinge is 2 semi-rolls of sheet metal and one side slides into the other from the end. May take some lube or penetrating oil to make them slide apart...
