hmmmm,

The Autolite 216 used to be a great plug and back in the 80's they even came with a guarantee,

But now made in China?

I guess I shoulda stocked up while I had the chance.

Here's a Great Video of some French Flatheads in action.
Most of these ex military vehicles have the French Flathead in them,
there is however the odd puguet? or something in with them......

I believe they went on and used them into 90's and only in about 2002? did the
French sell off all the extra warehoused engines, parts and stock.

This sadly is life in the north.
It makes me wonder why US sellers on that epay site offer FREE! shipping in the lower 48 but Force their friendly northern neighbors to cough up US 14$ to put...

Yes Jack, avoid the AOD-E, which has metric embossed on the pan. Go with the older version and save yourself many headaches, wire nightmares and $$$.

I wanna believe that your AOD is the early one that can run without being hooked up to a mass of wiring and a brain.
If so you are on the right track. (Avoid the "Metric" AOD as it needs...

If I recall,
The truck cab measured at the cowl/top is much skinnier than the Ford Car cowl.

This would mean that you have to pie cut the car hood and make it skinnier.

First, lets look at a typical 49-53 8BA Flathead V8,
It's road draft tube and the back of the intake at/or under the carb
->where the vacuum line/wipers usually resides.

No need to spend $50 bucks on someone's wizzy "PCV" kit,
For around $5, you can install a PCV system on your Flathead..
