Sorry about the loss of your dad as well, and welcome to the world of Model A Fords. Your coupe will find it's way back to Arkansas in due time.

Re: Cobra Long Grain Available Yet?

The above link doesn't go directly to Model A top material. Sorry. I searched and found long grain top vinyl in Model A interiors. For some reason when I copied and pasted it to here, we got...

Re: Indented FireWall

I think it was new regulations from various states. They didn't want exposed gas lines in the passenger compartment of cars and trucks, so Ford rerouted the gas tank shut off valve straight out...

Re: Original Sparton Horn data tag...

This is a followup to Chris's comment.
The photo on the left is an original Sparton tag and on the right is a repro. It would appear that originally the name Sparton was printed in bright red...

Re: How much paint?

Correction to my earlier post. I forgot that I still have not painted the bed and have a quart left from the original gallon. That onlypainted the cab and hood. A quart won't paint the bed if you...

Re: How much paint?

And don't forget the hood as well. A gallon will be plenty. You have to spray the inside of the cab and underneath, the bed underside. I did one a couple years ago and have about a quart left.

Re: AA Transmission Replacement

High gear on any AA transmission is 1:1, the 28-9 three speed or the later 4 speed. You will need an overdrive transmission to lower RPMs at 50 MPH. You already have the high speed rear end. ...

Re: 29 Roadster Seat Springs

Doug: That's what I thought. Whoever installed your seat cushion did not run the listing wire (rotorwrench term). (We learn from each other. ) You have the seat bead that that runs 7 inches...

Re: 29 Roadster Seat Springs

It looks like you have the right front seat cushion spring with the valley for the front cushion crease, but the cover was installed wrong. I can see the cross wire that should be strung through a...

Re: Engine pans

Re: Body Bolts

If you mean the bolts that attach the body to the frame, hardware store bolts will be fine. They are all 3/8" or 7/16". Plenty heavy, as Synchro says.

Re: 1931 Deluxe Roadster tackrail

If I remember correctly, the top fasteners that connect the top to the tack rail are installed along with the top. Then you know exactly where the fasteners will go.

Re: Horn button

Sounds like your switch is falling apart. Do your lights work? Original light switches usually work better than repros, if you can find an original light switch. Original light switches are...
