...........and about 9/16" shorter from the axle centerline to the front, flat surface where the torque tube bolts-on. The axle housing bolt holes are also 'clocked' differently between the two. DD

Re: Thread - I screwed up

NOT BASIC enough! Engine thermostats "control" ONLY the MINIMUM engine (water) temperature! Once the t-stats are fully open, the stats have nothing to do with MAX temperature potential. And as far...

C'mon man! Do you mean to tell us that after all of this, that you still don't understand the difference, you know....the thing....about water being warmest BEFORE being cooled (@ top of radiator),...

Re: Thread - I screwed up

If you want to 'play' with words, that's fine...re-READ my question in post #13. Implication is clearly that FAN is 'cooling' (OPERATING)! My 'meaning' was that it seems to make more sense (to ME)...

Re: 1950 Mercury flathead....into the night

.

Funny how the gas pedal never moves, the speedometer never comes up to speed, and the engine seems to be missing on one cylinder. But....a cool ol' Merc, nevertheless! DD

Re: 1940 Front Brake Drums

Hey Mike....Realistically, you have two QUALITY choices. The simplest, yet most-costly would be to send (or take) your drum/hub assemblies to:

They're located in...

Yes, Carlin COULD! Turns-out that a 'GR' party is NOT what I first thought, either. It's a party where the new mommy and daddy get all the family and snowflakes together to drink wine and announce...

Re: 1936 dual carbs/ triple carbs

Dual set-ups pretty much open in unison, because the way MOST manifolds are plumbed, opening a 'lead' carburetor before the other will result in half of the cylinders being fed a greater volume of...

I've gotta say WOW! That came-out pretty damned clean, yet still retains that factory-cast sheen which is destroyed via bead blasting. Bead blasting gets 'em clean, but they never look the...
