Re: Acetylene Headlights on a 13-14 T

That is a good thread on gas lights.
I had just started driving with them
at that time but still have the Victor
on my running board. :)

Came in from a drive and kicked the
Victor up on...

Re: Acetylene Headlights on a 13-14 T

Gas lamps expand the driving day for me especially during the hot summer. Most of my drives are on low traffic 35-mph divided thoroughfares that are lit up with street lamps. A very important aspect...

Re: Old Skool with many accessory parts

Negative is dated in the margin, a little hard to read, but since y'all have nailed the plate year, the photo was taken June 3,1917

Re: Model T Racing Thread

The first photograph was taken at the Michigan State Fair Grounds prior to the 1911 Algonquin Hill Climb meet 8 June 1911 and used to promote the races at Hawthorne Track in Chicago on June 10 and...

Re: Flywheel question

The Magnet Clamp Screw access hole is pictured below at the tip of the screwdriver. If it's not there, the answer to your original question is no.

Jack, my case could have been as you described...

Re: Flywheel question

To answer the original question...

Yes, it can be done IF your coil ring has the hole that Ford provided for that purpose.

I lost a keeper, or clamp, and drove a couple of blocks back to the...

Re: MTFCA hacked?

My antivirus said it blocked an attack when I tried to go to the site at 6:00am CDT US. Must be a little hot over there

Re: Who Designed And Built The Ford 1904 Model B Car & Engine ?

The engine that was photographed on August 6, 1904, must not have been used in production because they figured out how to screw on the heads to look like what you posted above. You can see the...

Re: Who Designed And Built The Ford 1904 Model B Car & Engine ?

The car you showed above is the one that Kim has if I recall correctly. Looks like the same chassis to me.

The cylinder jackets are copper but you can't tell it in the photo. Check out the...

Re: Who Designed And Built The Ford 1904 Model B Car & Engine ?

Those heads look a little different than these three bolt I have posted below. Like many parts of the water cooled model, the three bolt must have been a hold over from the air cooled four cylinder...

Re: Headlights & tailights - pre 1915

I believe the NY inspection question is addressed above.

Dodge, I do agree that it is a real treat to see one of these cars all lit up!

Texas doesn't require inspections on cars with antique...

Re: Stromberg 97

Probably got some junk in the power valve area. I found that when I took a Stromberg 97 off my '35 several weeks ago.

Re: Fluid Level Adjustment for Fuel Gauge- 1932

While you have the gauge out, pump air back through the air line from the dash connection. Clears the line. I use a little volleyball air pump.

Also, if the gauge drops slightly over a period of...

Re: 1935 gas tank sending unit removal

To add just a little to what TagMan provided, I "hold" the top of the rumble seat forward in a more vertical position with a little bungee cord hooked between the rumble handle and rear cowl of my...

Re: Really really old Acetylene tank?

The acetylene lights are very reliable and easy to use with a Prest-O-Lite tank. Light up for the kerosene and acetylene lamps takes about three to four minutes. In the picture, I had just re-lit in...

Re: Really really old Acetylene tank?

That Prest-O-Lite you have has the old style fine valve on it. Folks that use a POL to run their gas headlights can just "crack" that valve open without using a regulator. These old POLs show up...
