Does it have a coil, when they get hot they can fail.
You need to trouble shoot before you go adjusting stuff.
Pick one either fuel,spark,compression, and trouble shoot each until you find the...

I pumped some MMO into my wiper motor and found a small puddle on the floor of my car, turns out a section on the wiper hose under the dash was cracked.

When I bought my '41 it already had a set of Red's headers on it, they do throw off some heat, but it's all worth it when you stand behind the car and listen to that unique flathead sound.

You didn't say what part of the country your from, that can have some bearing on price. I've seen complete 221 engines going from $100-500. You can't be sure it has no cracks unless it come apart and...

I did this to my '41, I gutted the inside(nothing was cut it all came apart by unbending some tabs) so I was left with a top cover and the bottom bowl so to speak. I then cut a piece of sheet metal...

It's called cylinder deactivation, Caddy used it on their 4-6-8 motors lol.

I fixed a Briggs & Stratton lawnmower with an insert, worked for years until I wore it out.
