Re: Need help with subrails

Thanks for the reply, rotorwrench. I did check out Vince Falter's site and he mentioned he had some drawings of the hole locations. If I could locate all of the holes first it would make it much...

Re: Another Model-A Workshop planning thoughts....

Great offer, Brent!
I have two suggestions.
1) Brake drum replacement.
2) Installing patch panels.

I'm installing the transmission and bell housing on my '30 coupe and got to the outer u-joint covers (clamshell). I have both types of seals, cork and felt and wonder which type is best to use. Any...

Re: Removing a solid top

Sorry, maybe used the wrong term. Coupe has cowl lamps and has the block and wiring for a dome lamp. Anyway, got into it a little today and melted away some lead. It's welded for an inch or so every...

Removing a solid top

Hi, all!
I'm in the process of restoring a 1930 special coupe. Problem is that someone in the past has installed a solid top. It is leaded in. Because of this, I can't separate the two body halves...

Re: Should light switch/horn rod turn with wheel

Depends on why the rod is turning. Could be a bind between the rod and the shaft. You can probably tell by rotating the light switch rod before installing the switch-it should turn loose and free. If...

Re: water leak in exh port

I know that most block repair/sealers suggest that the engine be run without the offending cylinder spark plug installed. Can anyone tell me how you can find out which cylinder (or where) the block...

Re: fan belt installation

The 25-20426 belt is one that I went to when I installed an alternator. The alternator pulley is significantly smaller in diameter than the generator pulley, and I had problems with the belt being...

Re: NUG (New Guy) Fan Belt Question

Model A Man;
I use a NAPA 25-20426 with an alternator and small pulley. It works well for me and gives me plenty of lower-hose clearance.
