"fett" in german in this case translates as "grease". I didn't use any grease when I did mine , but suspect that a small quantity ( perhaps graphite grease?) may make things slide easier.

Doa44Green, sounds like you are looking at capillary action on the fresh surface of the gas bowl. Try just putting in about half and inch of gas very gently, - you'll see the sides of the bowl...

Not much room on a RHD is there. as suggested carby removal gives a bit more space, and I generally remove the manifold completely from the block to get things well lined up. ( as said ; it's not one...

I find that that Tillotsons normally need to be run about 3/4 to 1 turn open .With Zenith carbs I reckon 0 to 3/4 turn is within normal range .

Certainly worth a try! ( Reminds me of a 1950s book "Overlanding with Annabelle"- they had a cracked block in a Chevrolet truck and put in "Chemiweld" (whatever that was!) and successfully drove...

The sudden change makes me suspect leaking head gasket rather than condensation. So...change oil and 1) Check that cylinder head bolts are correctly torqued. If still having problems take...

Easy things first before you start worrying .. as Tom says in #3 first of all ,
consider other things .....
I'd change oil, and see if it happens again.
If it does re-occur take head off ...
