Is Banjo wheel appropriate for 1946 car ?

I have a 1946 Woodie that I think would look great with a banjo wheel - but I can't recall seeing a post war car with a banjo wheel

Trying to verify that the grill guard for 1946 was a one piece unit with both bumperettes and the bar over the top.
