roadster here in town that had been sitting long time...with oil 1" over full mark ,ran it several hours..did not leak a drop or smoke..so some leak some don't..checked it again after running ,still...

do not buy new after market coil from A suppliers ,they are junk ! find old one out the 50's if you want a good spark at all speeds.

here is the scoop on so called u-joint noise..rear wheel lug nuts were loose and broken on left side ...see my other post about ODD REAR BRAKE DRUM...noise was telegraphing thru drive line to back of...

Will a newer 30 31 brake drum fit the AR setup..that is can I get rid of plate and loose drum as pictured and put a standard newer style drum on axle ?

Went online and found that this is a early 28 AR rear end..learn something every day on Model A's...not sure if this stud and hole is repairable ?

I worked on lots of A's and 32's but have not seen this type of rear brake drum ? broken stud.. guess i need to pull axle ?

Thanks good info..trans gears are not chipped but rear bearing may be bad..noise is not a clack clack sound but a low ruble thudding sound ..my experience says its a worn out u-joint or no bolt...

Have noisy coming from trans area.kind of a thumping sound and also whines in 2nd gear but does not kick out 2 nd gear going down hill as one would think of loose trans bearings...I suspect u-joint...

Want to trade for 30 coupe front seat cushions complete..Have old stock new rumble seat setup from about 2001..was in box in barn but I see no water or rodent damage..$495..also have 30 PU seat also...

I.D. wiring harness 32,model A ,34,36

I have a pile (4 or5)of new unlabled wiring harnesses ,but can't ID them...they all look different to me..wires off the switch going all which way...would be nice to put the right one on the first...

not sure what i have here or what i need..these old regs are 3 hole type and 1 rear window .looks like i need 4 hole risers is that correct ?.30 scrambled coupe i traded a gun for ....sc
