I took everything apart. There is without a doubt, some slop where the plate with the seasonal holes is pressed into the throttle shaft ,which I will address once the driving season...

JSeery, It will fire up til that fuel from the carb is used up! Fuel is not being sucked up from the bowl? Problem is that it was fine prior to my bowl cleaning. Pump has recently been rebuilt by one...

I rechecked the pump and lubed it. Pump seems ok. Did not check the squirt though? Still have the hesitation. Maybe I should put the #51 jets back?

Hi Merc 51, I thought the hole nearest the throttle shaft was for hot temperature and the far hole was for cold weather? Should I try the far hole(longer stroke)? Thank you!
