I have seen one complete Upper/Lower and ONE and a half lower castings.

I say 1/2 because one lower casting was a Zenith 2 which someone used a Dremel in a feeble attempt to make the 2 into a 3...

1. My Sport Coupe had a split lock washer on that screw when we got in 1962 ... it never shorted.

I could be wrong but as I remember the lock washer was captive on that screw.

Once you get starter loose look closely at the shaft and check to be sure that it is not bent.

A bent shaft will be more likely to hang up in the future.

As we know the differential bolts and case are a tighter thread than common taps and dies.

Are those 3A and 3B or are they a different, even tighter tolerance?
